Fun fact: the ice in Westhampton Lake is not thick enough to walk on.

4:26PM

So journalism class was interesting today. I came into the hallway to find everyone standing outside looking confused. I looked inside the classroom and there was a FUCKING WATERFALL coming from the ceiling. I'm not talking just a trickle. I'm talking a full-blown DELUGE. I could have taken a shower in that mess.
The worst part is, my prof comes in and says "Oh it's not so bad, just sit in the front rows for once." So we spent the entire class reviewing news clips while trying to avoid the spreading wet spot on the carpet.
I have never had to go to the bathroom so much in my entire life.

12:12AM - iPod thingy

So since I can't figure out any of Amanda's or Jimmy's songs, I'll just do my own. Hopefully, it'll be a bit easier.

Step 1: Put your iPod or whatever on random.
Step 2: Post the first few lines from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from
Step 4: Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING! (NO CHEATING)

1)
Deep inside these burning buildings
Voices die to be heard
Years we spent teaching a lesson
We ourselves have never learned

2)
I'm not a spaceman, but on the other hand
I never really did fit in this world.
Heads up to misfits, the ones that don't fit.
I know that you know that you know who you are.

3)
Can't you feel it, the a perfect day
Scratched the leaved, the paper tears.
The world I'm feeling start giving away.
A perfect day.
A perfect day.

4)
If I leave here tomorrow
Would you still remember me?
For I must be travelling on, now,
'Cause there's too many places I've got to see.

5)
Too many fingers, too many thumbs
Something wicked this way comes
The best time I've ever had
Waiting around for something bad

6)
I'm tired of putting up with your sober wit
Tired of looking at you through an alcoholic haze
You better change I'm begging you please
(Insert song title here)

7)
If you're listening.
Woaaaah.
Sing it back.
A-Woaaaah.
String from your tether unwinds.
Woaah. Woaah.

8)
And I wonder day to day
I don't like you anyway
I don't need your shit today
You're pathetic in your own way

9)
Blood of my blood
Skin of my skin
A normal human being
Solder and wires
Circuitry
We're far from human beings

10)
Someone right now is leaving their apartment
Looking down at the street, wondering where there car went
Someone in the car sitting at a signal
In front of a restaraunt, staring through the window
at someone right now with their finger in their teeth
Who could use a little floss

11)
Faith,
is not something that I grasp
it's something that I fake,
as I'm slipping, as I'm falling through the cracks.

12)
They come from every state to find
Some dreams were meant to be declined
Tell the man what did you have in mind
What have you come to do

13)
Can you imagine that it's all up to you?
Evil embrace of powers unnatural
You're left in silence nothing more to behold
You close your eyes and visualize the day you'll get away

14)
Load up on guns
Bring your friends
Its fun to lose
And to pretend
Shes overboard
Myself assured
I know I know
A dirty word

15)
Still enough
Although I know you're not begging
Still as the thoughts running through your mind
Still enough
Although I know you're not begging
Give me a reason to make you mine

16)
Summer's coming too fast,
Winter's been here too long
If we keep wasting our days,
Pretty soon they'll be gone

17)
Hit the road in wander mode
inquire along the way
Savoir faire in full despair
while living day to day
My heart is not a cold cauldron of proof
I don't ever need to prove myself to you

18)
I took a walk around the world to ease my troubled mind
I left my body laying somewhere in the sands of time
I watched the world float to the dark side of the moon
I feel there is nothing I can do.

19)
I'm the king of the air
Not that you really care
I'm the one that sends all messages
The ones that help you survive
And make you feel so alive
The ones that sound like the voices in your head

20) (and you'll never get this one...)

I asked it where it had been
Then we started arguing
I'm just like the other ones
But I don't believe you think I'm dumb
And where did all the money go?
Did Jesus come and no one know?

I feel as if a great weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. Hell week was, well, hell. Now I have two days of relaxing before I have to start studying for finals. I'll probably use the spare time to work on that trainwreck of a script I have. Two pages, yay!

1:18AM

I just got back from watching Tenacious D in "The Pick of Destiny" with Erik. My life is now better for having seen it. (That, and it helped take the sting out of a huge Eagles loss to the f-ing Colts).
So I'm back in Richmond after a packed Thanksgivng break and, as usual, my thoughts are far from where they should be. The computer is on and the hall is semi-quiet as people finish up their last bits of homework for Monday classes. I'm thinking about working on my script for this Christmas break seeing as movies are all I think about anymore.
...just wish I could write better.
Still, if nothing else, I have discovered something tonight. You know that feeling you get after watching a really great, feel-good movie? You feel like you can do anything, like you could fly, see the world, and conquer it. Someday I want to make a movie like that. I want people to feel like I feel. Maybe I'm just crazy, maybe I'll never get to the point where I can share my films with the world, but I'll sure as hell try.
I just need to give it time...

1:51AM - A gradual comeback...

So here I am, sitting in the darkness typing away while Erik tries unsuccessfully to fall asleep. The only light in the room is coming from the harsh glare of the laptop screen aimed directly at my face, a face which still feels funny from the unwarranted but thorough shaving I gave it yesterday. I'm thinking of growing back my beard, but I'm also afraid that doing so will launch me into that infamous Era of Single-ness once again. I'm still not used to being a free man, although I'm getting there. I was talking to my friend Rachel the other night and I realized that it had been over two years since I had been single for an extended period of time. Funny how things work out...or how you make them work out, I guess.

In case you're wondering, things with girl #3 did not work out, although girl #1 and Erik are now enjoying a happy relationship in the making. I wish them well. After some deep thinking (peppered with exceedingly shallow thoughts) I came to the conclusion that my non-relationship with girl #3 is probably for the best. Onward to new and better things I suppose.

I've spent entirely too much time procrastinating. Time to finish my Stagecraft project.

So at the pestering of Fagan, here's my meme thingy...

(Click here to post your own answers for this meme.)

I miss somebody right now.  (Yes, my girlfriend Heather. I miss her tons.) I don't watch much TV these days.  (Nah, it's mostly video games and movie-making.) I own lots of books.  (Hell yeah. I read every day. I'm even writing my own book for God's sake.)
I wear glasses or contact lenses.  (Contacts. Can't wait for laser eye surgery.) I love to play video games.  (Every freakin' day.) × I've tried marijuana(Umm...no.)
I've watched porn movies.  (Well, who hasn't? (Except Fagan, apparently)) × I have been the psycho-ex in a past relationship.  (No, it's everyone else that's crazy.) I believe honesty is usually the best policy.  (Except in certain situations.)
I curse sometimes.  (Every damn day.) × I have changed a lot mentally over the last year. × I carry my knife/razor everywhere with me.  (Only when camping.)
it goes on... )

Grades grades grades...why is everyone so freakin' hyper over them? You can't go through life worrying over a simple series of numbers, so why bother? Almost all of my friends are either bragging about their straight A's or cursing themselves for falling a few decimals short of their desired GPA. My God, there are far more important things to get out of life than that. Did you know that the general definition of a C is "average"? Isn't average good enough? I say as long as you get a high enough grade to continue your education, you've succeeded in my book. So take your Harvard 4.0s and your community college 1.0's and shove 'em. A C plus is good enough GPA for me.

Braggart
You are 57% Rational, 57% Extroverted, 14% Brutal, and 71% Arrogant.
You are the Braggart! Like Muhammad Ali, you would surely tell everyone that you are "The Greatest" whilst bragging incessantly about your intelligence, your skills, and your abilities. You tend to be a thinker rather than a feeler, and combined with your extroversion and arrogance, this makes you someone who probably just LOVES to brag about his accomplishments. Despite this, however, you are a very gentle, tender person and truly care about others' feelings. You just happen to care more about yourself. Unlike Ali, of course, you are rather rational as opposed to emotional, and you are also much more gentle. But his arrogance and extroversion best reflect the most visible aspects of your personality. But his afro and his penchant for rhyming...not so much. There is not really much to dislike about you, aside from the fact that you can be incredibly annoying, and you probably never shut up about yourself. You may be one of these people who refer to themselves in the third person. If you have a nickname, it is probably one you gave to yourself, because you are too cool for the nickname others have given you--like "doofus" and "shitface". Your personality defect, in summary, is the fact that you are extremely overconfident, extroverted, and perhaps rather lacking in emotions. YOU ARE THE GREATEST! Or so you keep telling yourself every night as you stare at yourself in the mirror and practically make out with your reflection. Maybe one day everyone else on the planet will agree with your assessment of yourself. Nah, I'm just kidding. We think you're an arrogant dickhole. But a NICE arrogant dickhole, so no worries.

To put it less negatively:

1. You are more RATIONAL than intuitive.

2. You are more EXTROVERTED than introverted.

3. You are more GENTLE than brutal.

4. You are more ARROGANT than humble.

Compatibility:

Your exact opposite is the Bitch-Slap.

Other personalities you would probably get along with are the Hand-Raiser, the Haughty Intellectual, and the Capitalist Pig.

If you scored near fifty percent for a certain trait (42%-58%), you could very well go either way. For example, someone with 42% Extroversion is slightly leaning towards being an introvert, but is close enough to being an extrovert to be classified that way as well. Below is a list of the other personality types so that you can determine which other possible categories you may fill if you scored near fifty percent for certain traits.

The other personality types:

The Emo Kid: Intuitive, Introverted, Gentle, Humble.

The Starving Artist: Intuitive, Introverted, Gentle, Arrogant.

The Bitch-Slap: Intuitive, Introverted, Brutal, Humble.

The Brute: Intuitive, Introverted, Brutal, Arrogant.

The Hippie: Intuitive, Extroverted, Gentle, Humble.

The Televangelist: Intuitive, Extroverted, Gentle, Arrogant.

The Schoolyard Bully: Intuitive, Extroverted, Brutal, Humble.

The Class Clown: Intuitive, Extroverted, Brutal, Arrogant.

The Robot: Rational, Introverted, Gentle, Humble.

The Haughty Intellectual: Rational, Introverted, Gentle, Arrogant.

The Spiteful Loner: Rational, Introverted, Brutal, Humble.

The Sociopath: Rational, Introverted, Brutal, Arrogant.

The Hand-Raiser: Rational, Extroverted, Gentle, Humble.

The Braggart: Rational, Extroverted, Gentle, Arrogant.

The Capitalist Pig: Rational, Extroverted, Brutal, Humble.

The Smartass: Rational, Extroverted, Brutal, Arrogant.

8:20PM - Quizzes are fun...

King Edward I
You scored 64 Wisdom, 77 Tactics, 60 Guts, and 48 Ruthlessness!
Or rather, King Edward the Longshanks if you've seen Braveheart. You, like Edward, are incredibly smart and shrewd, but you win at any costs.... William Wallace died at his hands after a fierce Scottish rebellion against his reign. Despite his reputation though, Longshanks had the best interests of his people at heart. But God help you if you got on his bad side.
